Sharp Business Systems, a direct sales division of Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), announces that the District of Columbia has awarded Sharp an $8 million multi-year contract to upgrade its fleet of Multifunctional Printers (MFPs) at 111 schools and at its central office.
"We are honored that the District of Columbia school district has chosen Sharp's MFP products to keep its schools and office running with efficient, high quality MFP products once again," said Anthony Sci, Vice President, Sharp Business Systems. "Sharp's dedication to education shone throughout the process."
Sharp first began working with the school district in 2009 when it supplied a large portion of the district's copier equipment. As part of this contract, Sharp is once again helping the district upgrade equipment and supplied 181 of the MX-M754N, 159 of the MX-M904 and 52 of the MX-M465N document systems for an upgrade installation that took 30 days. A total of 392 machines were installed under the new multi-year contract. All three of these Sharp MFP models have multitasking workflow features, perfect for busy schools or any large workgroups looking to produce documents at high speeds.
