Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC) announces that six of Sharp’s Advanced and Essentials Series color workgroup document systems have received prestigious “Pick” awards from Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI), a world-wide leading independent evaluator of document imaging products and solutions. BLI also awarded Sharp with an “Outstanding Achievement in Innovation“ award across the entire line for its new, easy-to-use web user interface.
Announced twice a year, the Pick awards acknowledge the products that gave the best performances in BLI’s extensive suite of laboratory tests in the previous six months. Sharp received the Pick awards for models in its Advanced and Essentials Series color line of MFPs.
Launched in late 2015, the color Advanced Series and color Essentials Series document systems enable users to easily set up and execute workflow tasks. Both series are equipped with Sharp’s next generation touchscreen display, offering an intuitive graphical interface with Easy Copy and Easy Scan screens, as well as quick access to on-board operation guides. Both model series also support popular mobile technologies, including Apple® AirPrint®, Android™ Print Service and Google Cloud Print™. Multi-layered security features help ensure intellectual property and personal information is protected throughout the life of the device.
“Sharp’s new line of color Advanced and Essentials Workgroup Document Systems, which are designed to meet the needs of any mid-to-large-size workgroup, offer the reliability, ease of operation, output quality and flexibility users crave,” said George Mikolay, BLI’s Senior Editor for A3 MFPs. “Additionally, Sharp’s newly designed web user interface is extremely easy to use and includes a number of unique capabilities not yet seen on the web utilities of competing vendors. Sharp’s web utility features a unique, highly intuitive search function that allows an administrator to search for functions and also click on functions to be brought directly to them. An administrator can also easily create a shortcut when on a tab or settings page and name it and save it for future use to streamline daily tasks.”
“Sharp is very proud to have received six coveted Pick awards as well as an Outstanding Achievement award for Innovation from BLI for our new line of multifunction printers (MFPs),” said Shane Coffey, Associate Vice President of Hardware Product Management, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. “Our goal for this product line was to deliver best-in-class usability, and these awards recognize our progress toward that goal.”
BLI Pick awards were received for the MX-3070N/6070N Color Advanced Series models and the MX-3050N/3550N/5050N/6050N Color Essentials Series models.
The Outstanding Achievement in Innovation award was received for all models in the Color Advanced and Color Essentials Series document systems.
